Component History...

In the Original Owners Manual it has a very detailed service repair record which was done by Audio Classics by Mr. Chris Meluick and the well respected Richard Modafferi. this was done in 2005 a total of 5 hours was spent on this repair .

The Famed Tube Tuner Section on this 1700 was aligned by Mr. Richard Modafferi himself !

This complete repair record from Audio Classics will be included in the owners manual as I received it.

As I do with all my McIntosh components I bring them in for a complete bench check and anything  that needs to be addressed I have done by the folks at Hi-Tech Electronics here in Manhattan, NYC. They are a licensed electronics repair shop that has been in business over 30 years now.

 Operationally...

I had this 1700 serviced on 6/26/20 a complete bench check was done.

A New circuit board was installed as well the alignment checked all inputs and outputs were checked.  It is now working better than ever the sound and the tuning is just fantastic !

Cosmetic Condition...

The Front Glass is in perfect condition as well no rust or pitting of any kind all the lettering is as original. All of the paint throughout the receiver is flawless...

All the chrome is in pristine condition...

I have only rated it an 8 as to its age a minuscule  blemish might appear if you look thru a magnifying glass...lol

This 1700 receiver as you see has quite a pedigree as to its History and its Condition. It has been well cared for in a smoke free pet and child free environment during my ownership.
