These units are well respected power conditioners, and as a pair can power most systems without loss of dynamics. The 3.5 is for high current components like power amplifiers and subwoofers. It requires a power cord with 20 amp termination. I was using this for a pair of BHK 300 monos and a pair of REL S/812 subs. The 10.5 is for source components and pre-amps. Am selling because upgraded to Shunyata Everest. These things are built like a tank, and should continue to function well for a long time. Condition of 7/10 is based on spike scratches in top from stacking. Power cords not included.
Questions for the seller |

Looking for clarification on your price... Would you mind confirming whether both units are for sail at your asking price of $2,000 as opposed to $2,000 each? TIA and GLWS. That is correct. $2000 is for both, and the flat rate shipping of $200 is for both just so long as it is going to an address in the 48 contiguous states. |
Can you confirm that they are regenerators ...I think they are not. They are power conditioners & have a capacity of 20 A & 10A respectively.
Transormers are for isolation from the mains. Since you are the second person who has stated that they are not regenerators, I am editing my listing to simply state that they are power conditioners. This does make sense, because they perform well even with a big load. At one point the 3.5 was supplying power to a pair of VAC 140 monos, and definitely increased detail and sense of presence. |
I was being polite. These are non-limiting power conditioners. That they sound better than P 600-1200 is just a testament to BPT, which sadly is no longer in business. Thanks for that input. |
Are you sure these are regenerators ?
To my knowledge, BPT only made non current limiting power conditioners. I am assuming that they are because of the huge and heavy transformer that they contain. It is true that they do not seem to limit current, as they replaced the pair of PS Audio P1200 and single P600 that was being used previously, with a significant improvement in performance to that setup. |
