This is for a highly modified Emotiva XPA-DR2 balanced differential amp two channel amplifier. For people who love this amp, these upgrades take it to another level. The stock amp is nice, but was bright in the high frequencies and had very hollow sounding bass. These upgrades have further refined the sound. Bass is no longer hollow/weak sounding. Audio is now very full, very smooth and very powerful. The capacitor additions have essentially created a 159,200uf power supply! NOTE: Because of the space required for the additional capacitors and connections used, additional amp boards cannot be added.

INCLUDING: Furutech 15A rhodium fuse

SHIPPING: Packing will be Emotiva factory double-boxed. Cost of FedEx shipping (fully insured, signature required) to the furthest location of continental USA would be $134 (I will not ship to Hawaii or Alaska). If you are within California shipping can be as low as $58, and I will refund the difference if actual shipping is lower. Local pickup/meetup is also fine as long as paypal pre-payment is done.

MODIFICATIONS:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ADDED: 6 x 22,000uf Nichicon Gold Tune capacitors. Four of these capacitors are wired into the low voltage rail and the remaining two are wired into the high voltage rail.
ADDED: 6 x 1,000uf Nichicon FG plus .1uf WIMA MKP. These are added to the big Gold Tune caps to provide faster voltage response for midbass and midrange tones.
ADDED: Neotech 16awg stranded OCC copper Teflon coated wiring used to wire these caps into the main power supply board rails. Three of the amp connections on the power supply board were removed to allow for this wiring.

UPGRADE: 4 x 1800uf pre-regulation caps replaced with 4 x 2200uf Nichicon LLG 200V
UPGRADE: 4 x 6800uf post-regulation caps replaced with 4 x 6800uf Nichicon KW
UPGRADE: 7815/7915 monolithic voltage regulators replaced with Sparkos discrete regulators. These supply voltage for the input stage on the amp boards.
UPGRADE: low voltage regulator caps replaced with Nichicon KW
UPGRADE: stock IEC inlet replaced with Furutech Rhodium IEC inlet.
UPGRADE: main amp power switch is bypassed
UPGRADE: stock circuit breaker replaced with 20A high current fuse holder
UPGRADE: internal A/C power supply wiring from IEC replaced with Neotech 12awg stranded OCC copper Teflon coated, with Furutech rhodium disconnect clips.

UPGRADE: All electrolytic caps on the amp boards were replaced with Nichicon FG
UPGRADE: Three input DC blocking caps replaced with Nichicon Muse Bipolar.

Questions for the seller
Do you know what the modifications did to the power output? Still at stock wattage after?
I don't have the equipment to measure the output, but the large bank of capacitors would definitely increase the power output. If I were to guess, I would say that you would get at least 800 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 1000 watts into 4 ohms. You would really never use this, though. The big benefit of the capacitor bank is a smoother and stronger bass.
