A splendidly preserved 2270 with a spectacular walnut case (beautiful grain and figuring).  All functioning correctly and all lamps functioning etc.  This unit is near-mint.  It was tested, cleaned and then stored for last 15 years in sealed container.  I have owned it since mid-70's, when it was manufactured (see internal stamp),  and it is finally time to let someone else enjoy it.... just plugging it in and turning it on offers an esthetic beauty to compliment to luscious audio quality known from Marantz.

Questions for the seller
Hello, Has any other work been performed on this unit? re-capping etc.. I live in Mira Mesa, not to far from Thanks, Cornelius
Hello Cornelius- Thanks for touching base. I have owned this since 1976 - the year I entered college. I spent all my tuition on it because I valued music over education. It was played at all my parties, then at home, then throughout grad school. When I started to earn some real cabbage, I bought a McIntosh system, and so the 2270 did not get very much play. So, it is 100 percent original and functioning perfectly - should be in a museum. No recaps etc necessary - sounds elegant in every register. I finally decided I should let someone else enjoy it now. I am an audiophile with multiple systems... this is one of the few I’ve held just because it looks so beautiful- but it really should get played. Since I have too many pieces, and I fear it might be evidence that I am a crazy,?im letting certain pieces go. Thanks for your interest. Paul
