Valvet soulshine II Mk.II - Tube Pre Amplifier - showroom demo in excellent condition

This soulshine II Mk.II in silver with chrome fronts is a showroom demo unit in excellent condition. It comes with original box, umbilical cords, remote control, manual, original tubes and full warranty. The unit provides 4 inputs and 3 outputs and comes with two ECC82 and two12BH7A tubes - a paradise for tube rollers! Retail price is $9290 (with silver/chrome surcharge). You can choose a silver or black remote control. Both devices, main unit and PSU, use four Alto-Extremo feet each. This unit is less than one year old.
    
The external solid state PSU (soulshine quintett power supply) provides four independent power supply channels with four transformers to feed the soulshine in dual-mono mode, plus two more channels for future use of an additional Valvet phono stage.

The latest and best version of Knut Cornils' soulshine is the new soulshine II Mk.II.

Hand crafted near Hamburg in Germany, the soulshine II Mk.II is a line-stage using ECC82 and 12BH7A (ECC99) tubes and a new external solid-state dual-mono PSU. Also new is a remote controlled 64-step volume control unit using Z-Foil resistors, pure silver wiring and harmonized energetic tuning.
     
The soulshine II Mk.II shows exceptional detail, plasticity and sound stage. Everything is played on a black/still background. The listener hears no tube noise, but many tube virtues. Voices really have body, strings have the right fluidity, and an electric guitar sounds just like it should. Especially the harmony between silence and dynamics captivates the listener right away.
     
Similar to the original soulshine with 4 line inputs and now 3 outputs (WBT silver connectors) using ECC82 and 12BH7A (ECC99) tubes with only one Mundorf Silver/Gold/Oil capacitor per channel. The signal path is even shorter now and a brand new state-of-the-art 64-step volume control is incorporated.
     
The external dual mono power supply uses two powerful torodial core transformer and a solid-state rectifier, since this design has proven to be advantageous for the sound of the soulshine. No component-overkill, but perfect working conditions for the soulshine. All housing components are made of aluminum, between 2 und 12mm thick.
