I am thinking perhaps the Belles is an amp, not a preamp, yes? I like your speaker choice in that range, and the Wadia is great if it offers direct out w/volume(bypassing a preamp). Other cdp's worth looking at are the Audio Research CD2(used), and the Arcam FMJ23 or DIva92(new or used). For amps, a good buy on a used Moon W-5, or Audio Research VT100.2, either of which will sound great on the Newforms. Not too many great amps under $ 5K new/$3K used, sorry. Cardas is hard to argue with, but I would audition Harmonic Tech, and anything else you can borrow in that range, as even great cables/connects MUST be heard in your system. All-in-all, what you listed is great, but there are other options you might enjoy better(or equally for less!)

I am going to give an advise that has cost me a lot of money to learn. Go to live events, clasical music, or whatever you like, change rows, in diferent concerts. Most important of all trust your ears when you go listen to equipment. Try it in your system if possible. If you can not tell the difference it problably is not worth it. Your system sounds pretty good. I am not familiar with your speakers. I would advise to try analog. It is somewhat of a hasle, but in the end it is worth it.
