Quoting my own post below from this thread:
https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/teac-ud-701-vs-nt-505-vs

The CG-10M is not a must have, but once I experienced it in my system (which I do not plan on changing any time soon...), I found it would have been difficult to be without it.
My suggestion would be settle on your speakers, electronics, etc., then if you get a TEAC DAC/Streamer (or any DAC with 10MHz clock input), give the CG-10M a tryout, if possible.

"Decided to home demo the TEAC CG-10M Master Clock Generator with my UD-701N this week.  No cost risk - figured I’d give this a shot even though the 701 is stellar on its own.

The improvement is very clear and discernable with everything I’m checking out (presence, spaciousness, transient response, and bass articulation).  I was anticipating it would not change much and I was way off.  It’s a keeper for me…very nice upgrade for a relatively modest cost.

I didn’t try the CG-10M with the NT-505X when home demo’ing, but my dealer (Esoteric Audio, Richmond, VA - great service) keeps them stacked in the demo room and attests to its improvement in that config, as well.

Using a 50-ohm 1-ft cable, but will need ~0.5m for my setup (do not want to stack).  Also will try different power cords down the line.

Anyway, if one has the opportunity to demo this master clock generator with their TEACs (or other units), it’s could be a worthwhile endeavor (certainly was for me).

Also, finally getting around to tyring out Qobuz with the UD-701N, which is nice, and getting more in tune with  the Lumin/Esoteric/TEAC HR app, which is actually not too bad."

I agree with you on these speakers. In fact when I auditioned them, they were in front of a ver big showroom window, and yet sounded wonderful.
I am considering the Teac DAC as an upgrade to my current DAC. How does it sound with Vs without the Master Clock you have? Would you consider the clock as an absolute must?

The Paradigm 3F impresses me more and more (have owned ~ 8-9 months now).  Still cycling through my records and amazed at what is on them (and digital stuff, too.)  Lots of good speakers I auditioned (in stores) in the price range, but very happy with my decision and would not change at all.

Re the TEAC UD-701N, it is fantastic digital front end (DAC and Streamer), with the TEAC CG-10M Master Clock Generator, it can indeed compete with my analog side in a few instances, but really is not at my analog level.  However, the TEAC components are a very good value, as I've spent less on them than just my phono preamp alone...(to put in context).
Other than some academic research of other DACs / Streamers (e.g., Lumin, Auralic, Moon, HiFi Rose, etc.) and listening to a few in stores/shows, the only ones I demo'd at home were the TEAC NT-505X and the UD-701N.  In direct comparison to my old Schiit Yggdrasil (A2) / iFi Zen Stream combo,  they both were prefereble (505X by a bit, but 701N by quite a bit).  Adding the CG-10M has made the setup even more impressive.

I have auditioned these speakers and came back very impressed. I see you have the Teac DAC. How do you like it compared to your analog setup? What other DACs did you compare it with, before ending up with the Teac?

Very nice! I've been looking for new racks that will fit larger equipment than what current have and that will meet WAF!! Thx for the reply.

I built the racks myself.
Main unit:  cherry carcass (mortise & tenon) with floating maple butcher block shelves
Side units:  cherry carcass (m&t on top w/dadoes on sides)

Curious who's audio racks are you using?
