@dintymoore2003 Hi. No I do not drive the just the Acurus amp for both subs and Triangles. I have a separate amp for the SC-8s, a Crest Audio CA9 pro amp with the processing from the Atlantic Technology SP-8000 subwoofer processor. I use the second pair of preouts of the Rotel preamp and send it the SP-8000 through by RCA connection and XLR out to the amp.

Have the ports in the front helped me place the Triangles as close the the front wall without getting muddy sounding. I had rear ported before and can never get them to sound without muddiness. The Triangles have been sounded great in my small room and with some room treatment made all the difference.

Hi, you have the stereo amp driving both the Triangles and subs?  And the subwoofer controller, is it speaker level after the amp or line level?  I'm also interested in the different configurations.

I considered those triangles a while back because of the ports on the front.  At the time I didn't have a lot of depth to pull them into the room at my previous residence.

I have a Rotel 956 AX in excellent shape, I'm the one and only owner, no smoking, it's clean an recently checked out.  It's sitting in my den, rarely used.

Let me know if you're interested.

Thank you Scotandholly for the kind words. This actually is the second Rotel preamp I went through. The first was a RC-970BX for a while and now the 995 an there was a huge difference in quality. The 970 had the split volume channel adjustment.

Looks well thought out. I think I had a similar preamp back in the day. The volume knob was split (front to back) for both L/R attenuation. Enjoy.

Thanks dtorc. I mainly play lossless files and streaming from my laptop using a Focusrite as a dac(not seen in the picture).

It looks great. But what do you play? Meaning, what are your sources? Streaming? Vinyl? CD?
