Description

Got back into the hobby a few years ago and have finally built my system to where I feel it is sounding fantastic. The APL3910 is the cornerstone of this system - its simply phenomenal. The Meridian is also a very fine tuner which helps me enjoy a great local fm jazz station (Jazz 88 in San Diego). The LS15 tuner did not come alive until I added some NOS Amperex 7308 white label tubes from the early 1960s. All told, the system really brings out that Maggie Magic. Comments welcome.

You got a great system.
How do you like the APL 3910 CD player?

I saw you post inquiring about power cords for your JC-1s. I just picked up a pair of jc-1s and am looking for power cables. what made you go with the Harmonix studio master ?
great system.

My new Audio Magic line conditioner is the Nexus (forgot to add that in my prior post).

System edited: I have added a few more upgrades to my system to improve overall performance. The Audio Valve Eklipse pre-amp was a major improvement - its dead quiet and provides greater detail and musicality. Added an Audio Magic line conditioner - an upgrade from my old Audio Magic Stealth XXX. Audio Magic makes some very fine conditioners and the Nexus just provides more of what I got from the Stealth XXX - backgrounds are quieter which helps in greater resolution and a nice wide soundstage where every instrument can be clearly heard - Sweet.

System edited: Made some significant changes in the last few months. Added Kubala-Sosna Emotion speaker cables, Parasound JC-1 amplifiers, an Audio Magic Clairvoyant 4D interconnect and an Adona two tier amplifier stand. All told these upgrades bring my system to another level and I can't wait to see the improvements from the Audio Valve Eklipse preamp I just bought and am awaiting delivery on.

Hi Tympani
Thanks for the kind words. I really like your system and setup. All my components are plugged into the Audio Magic XXX - its non-current limiting lets you even plug in amplifiers without any negative downside.

Just came across your system - very nice setup you have there! I too have found the 1960's Amperex 7308 tubes provide real elegance and life. After a fair amount of tube-rolling, I've settled with these in my Herron linestage. Does the Audio Magic feed the entire system?
Again, very nice system, from a fellow Maggie man!
