Description

clean, dynamic, articulated and well presented.

Boulder is gone history, long live Soulution.

The folks in Soulution has achieved something magical, highly recommended.

Finally Soulution 710 power has arrived, MBL 9008A were really magnificient but with Soulution in the picture everything has changed an incredible soundstage, a magical mids & treble like AR 610T, far better dead silence than halcro, resulting in and unprecented listening experience.

The audiophile heaven.

Hi...have not heard either, but you certainly seem to have picked 2 amps with very well-documented "synergy" with SF STrads. My only question on the x60 would be whether its got as much "juice" as the 710...the Strads will not need the extra power to sound great...but they definitely will use the power to sound i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e. i suspect both will sound great...i would probably go with the higher power. i found it made a big difference when i ran my Strads with Gryphon and i've also heard it with big krell monos, boulders, etc. I no longer own the Strads, but i did finish with bigger amps on them. my two cents.

Hi,
I tried several amplifiers with my SF Strad. , now i have the Nagra VPA driven by a Meridian 808.2.do you think the 710 or a PassLab x60 could be a better choice.

hi emre,

sorry being a bit quiet...have agreed to exchange my speakers...so lots of changes! fingers crossed! i have yet to audition them in my own system, but hopefully that will happen in the next week or so. we shall see.

once that is done (or not done), then i will come back to qx4. will keep you posted. speakers are wilson X1 Grand SLAMMs. hoping for good synergy btwn zanden, cj, antileon, transp ref cable and the X1s.

I have tried Transp Ref MM2 it was really good but price wise ı could not conclude a deal with the dealer :)
how was QX4 changed ref Iso?

prior to MBL s I had also antileon signature, I have tried a lot of preamps one of the best ones that it really pleased me was Ref3 so I will assume that Ref5 will be a very good match. I ghave very recently listened to all Ref system driving magico, ıt was magical, CJ is good but only SE connection makes a lttle bit shorter on using the full scale of antileon.

Sensational, Emre! Congrats! i have heard only the highest praise for Soulution.

BTW, I notice you (like many other STrad owners) use Nordost Valhalla. I use Transp Ref on my Strads...though had extremely favorable synergy using Nordost Thor...in fact i have decided to change it for Nordost Qx4 plugged into Transparent Ref PowerIsolator because the Thor was so good.

Question for you: i am using Gryphon Antileon and have CJ Act 2 Pre...thinking of "upgrading" pre to ARC Ref 5 and using balanced cables instead of SE. I wish i could check out Soulution but given its price, that is out of the question. any thoughts based on your own experience with the Strads? (my source is Zanden digital). thanks for your advice!

Hi Emre,

Just checking in on your Wadia. Any thoughts about getting it, or another server-type source?
Thanks for any advice!

Sounds good. My current thinking is:
- Velociraptor 10,000rpm hard drives...studios use them so hard drive does not have to "spin up" to stream continuously
- Modified Sonos system by Empirical Audio...reclocking and adding i2s output into my Zanden DAC Signature
- $3-4K tops and (I am told) prob better than any transport including Zanden's own 2000P
Let me know what you think if wadia.

Not yet but I am experinceing right now, wadia ipod dock, really cool stuff I would say. If your files are lossless not much difference than cd transport.

Hi Emre. Thanks for your post on my forum. Great system!!! Clearn and articulate with a pure tonality is probably how I could best imagine this system...would be great to audition. Have u considered hard-drive based server into your DAC as opposed to Esoteric transport?

Thanks
