I too have my N805's up on a shelf and back elevated with rubber door stops to fire down at the listening area. Same goes for my HTM2 in the center. My rears are N-SCM's and are up about 12' again firing down at the listening area. Sub is the ASW-825. It certainly suffices although not nearly the most effective set up but it fits the room! All this powered by (the now antiquated) Sunfire Ultimate Receiver and the Marantz DV-8400 Universal. Just now upgrading the TV and DVD to a Samsung 60" and Oppo BDP-93. I'm thinking of trading in the ole Sunfire for a newer Marantz model. Keep tweaking, you'll find happiness...of course I've got a dedicated 2 channel system too to keep me happy on the music listening side :-)

Sweet set up, nicely done. I always appreciate "real speakers" instead of the little tiny ones used just for the sake of aesthetics. After all one must listen to the music. My only question would be the height of the video monitor in this situation. Does it provide a comfortable viewing angle?

I have, but I just don't think they will sound that much better than the current set-up. Also, with the way I have the wires running (hidden) it would be a pain to re-wire everything to put the B&W's on stands in front of the cabinets or fireplace.

My room isn't exactly a perfect HT room anyway (acoustically), so this set-up gives me the best balance I can find between aesthetics and performance.

Great start. Just an observation, have you ever given any thought to placing the B&W's on stands and getting them out from the shelves? Would serve to open up the sound and present a nice soundstage.

Thanks for sharing.

System edited: My starter system pics. This is my first house and I was salivating at setting up my HT with some respect to aesthetics! I plan on upgrading to a high-grade processor in the future and possibly the CMC2 (cc) and 60" plasma.
