Hello,

I have two pairs of 750's (one is for sale, I gave up on active biamping), one pair is modified to accept third party power cords, the other is not modified. Both pairs were re-capped.  For both pairs high quality XLR interconnects sound MUCH better than any CAST I have tried (including the Nordost that you have).

Also, the Kubala Elation (single run, not biwire), speakear cables are MUCH better than the Kubala Emotion.

If you can, also try to compare in your system the Krell Phantom (top of the line, two box), to the Krell 202. The Phantom has a better, larger power supply and sounds better.

Did you not modify your 750's? Mine will be due for re-capping in a few years, might be a good idea while the hood is open.

Hello,

Do yourself a big favor and try some high quality XLR interconnects against the Nordost Cast.  I, and friend's of mine have done this comparison, and we all think the Nordost Cast is very bad. I suggest you try: (i) Echole Obsession, (ii) NBS Black Label II.  Let me know what you think.

I suggest, if possible, you move your SC-Vs further into the room and away from the wall. It should improve your sound. Cheer.

The Krell KCT is the best preamp I have heard so far in my system. For my system and musical preferences it is better than VTL 7.5 series 3, Dartzeel 18NS.

yes,still using the KCT,I wish I could afford the 750mcx,450mcx or 650m in the budget.Selling the KPS28c to move to the Evo 505,then saving for the Evo 202 or 222.Using Nordost and Transparent CAST,and liking them!

I upgraded from 700cx to 750mcx monos and it was a clear improvement.

Do you still use the KCT? Have you tried the Evo 2 or 202? or VTL 7.5 series 3?
