I'm curious to see were people think this system could be improved the most efficiently. I'm not all that interested in dropping a lot of money into digital right now, and I'm pretty happy with the amp-preamp combo. Would it be worth upgrading the Vandy 3's to 3A signatures? or would by 1400-2000 dollars be better spent on a new analog front-end (basis-rega, or something to that effect) ?

How about upgrading your Blue point cartridge to a Dynavector 10x4 Mk11 first and seeing if you are happy with it?

Thanks for the feedback. I should probably mention that both of my source components were purchased new. I'm not a big fan of buying cd players or turntable-tonearms used. I'm sure people ave good luck, but all thoses moving parts and the potentil for wear and damaged makes me nervous. So what I'm really looking for is advice of a new a analog front end that would represent a decent upgrade from the Rega.

Like you, most of what I have was purchased used right here on AudiogoN. Great job putting the system together!
Facing the opportunity to stir up the hornets nest I can hardly pass. Unlike most of the people here I think the front-end is vastly more important than the back-end (speakers). Your new speakers are never going to add anything your front end did not originally take off the album. I agree with Onhwy61s recommendation of the WTT/WTA but we have to part ways in the VPI. In the price range you are looking you could purchase a Sota Sapphire Star with vaccuum hold down and a much better clamp than the 19 offers at a similar price. I have listened to both with the same cartridge and the Sota (which admittedly I own) is hands down better in every respect.
If you are looking to buy used you should be able to get very close to "state of the art" for the money you're spending. I know I have.

Great system, well balanced, but your source components could be upgraded. For vinyl I would recommend a WTT/WTA combo or possibly one of the mid-level VPIs.
