Description

I had a need for footers that would save my hardwood floor and audio rack. I made two different footers:

1) A 3" by 3" constrained layer sandwich. 1/2" MDF, then a layer of Wurth Noise Suppression Pads, another layer of 1/2" MDF and finally a thin layer of cork. All glued together with contact cement. I left some natural color, painted some black, others Mahogany.

2) A 3" by 3" constrained layer sandwich. 1/2" BC Fir plywood, Wurth Noise Suppression Pads, another layer of 1/2" BC Fir Plywood, thin layer of cork. Again ,contact cement did the trick. Three layers of lacquer.

I find these footers attractive and very effective in supressing vibration. Biggest benefit has been under source components and speakers.
