Description

This is a significant upgrade from my former system, which, in part, now inhabits my bedroom.

The Harman/Kardon made a huge difference, and the addition of an amp (even an old, cheap one!) also greatly improved my systems sound, especially with music.

THe infinity Kappas are astounding, at least for me. Bass response is great, and the MITs make them sing.

I am after more power now, I really am looking at Sunfire, B&K, Aragon, and various other amps. Pretty well sold on the Sunfire 200x5, as later I could add a 300x2 for fronts and have a great 7ch system.

Monster's AVS2000ss is also coming soon.

Pretty soon also I will re-evaluate my front end. A Clearaudio Emotion + Satisfy 'table, a good used phono stage, a Musical Fidelity Tri-Vista DAC, a transport, and better cables are all in the works. Also, will probably try to find a Shunyata Hydra to use for the higher-end gear, runnign from the AVS 2000.

A Martin Logan Cinema center and Descent Sub are on the horizon, but pretty far away.

And I'm still nto sure what processor to look at. Im befuddled by all the maufacturers, and cant really figure which ones are best.

ANY suggestions are greatly apprecieated, as I am doing the best I can! I need some pointers tho.

Thanks,

Jon

actually, no!
The imaging difficulties I have are mainly due to to open space on the left side of the room. My soundstage is very tilted towards the right, using Stereophiles test CD's. I hope that I can move in about 6 months, the fiancee did not want to move for the third consecutive christmas.
Center images are no problem at all, especially using multi-channel sources.

Also, I just ordered a better center, the Kappa to match the rest.

Bre, are you having any imaging problem since you have open area above the center channel speaker?

It's still evolving.
Add the Rotel RMB 1075 amplifier.
Musical Fidelity Tri-Vista 21 DAC, Pro-Ject RM9 'table and Tubed Phono box, more Transparent, and Shunyata power stuff on the way.
