Description

High, all. I'm baaaaaaack! This is probably the best performing AND sounding system that I've ever put together for the money. There is an iPod pictured that I sometimes run, and it's actually pretty good, particularly for casual listening (parties and such).

Anyhoo, as my wife and I are expecting our first child in August '05, this system will most likely stay like it is for some time, but I don't feel like I'm compromising that much. Overall, it's just plain carefree fun.

Take care, all!

    • Music Hall CD25 Modded
    Modded by Sound Odessey
    • Sophia Electric Baby
    Needs a decent power cord!
    • Omega Grande 6
    Very affordable horns.
    • Element their top-shelf model
Not bad for the price. I like Nordost Red Dawn, but they are 4x the price.
    • Acoustic Zen Tsunami
For the Baby. Keeps the Baby happy; w/o it, the Baby isn't too sweet.
    • Element the $60 model
Okay, but I know I can do better.
    • Supernal sp11
Made by Dave Hare of Stereo Unlimited in Walnut Creek, CA. I haven't heard better for the money, and I've tried, various Audio Quest, Kimber, AZ, and others.
    • DIY M.O.D.
Email me, and I'll send you some photos of how I made this. Cost me $80 in materials.

Hi!

I would like to hear about your DIY rack as I am in the process of designing a rack for myself. Please send a couple large, high-resolution .jpg images of it.

Actually, those are 150s. I also have the Grado battery-powered headphone amp as well. I haven't included it as part of the system because it seems like I'm not listening to it enough. You know, time issues and what not . . .

You didn't mention the Grado RS-1s that look like they are on the shelf.
