hows that musiland sounding after the break in ? did you get software to in stall etc? plenty of speakers here on the gon .

system edited: got the musiland dac that has been raved about over on head fi and after some break in I am quite happy with it, really makes a huge improvement on the airport. might look into some new speakers but the Qes still sound great and most of the newer stuff i have heard just doesnt sound as right

Nice system for a dorm! The speakers may be candidates for a future upgrade, but they're pretty good -- especially for the price! You're strategy of holding off on an upgrade until you are in a safer environment is sound -- I've seen a lot of trashed equipment in my college days. Enjoy!
