When I purchased this in the mid 90's, I preferred it's sound to the $10,000 P-2.

Been a great unit for years, this was bought many years ago on direct recommendation from Robert Harley. Recently repaired, I need to compare it to the Xindac when I get the McCormack amp. With the Adcom, I prefer the Xindak, but that may not be true with the McCormack.

possibly the best budget speaker ever

Replaced my Dahlquist DQ20's in 2001. The Dahlquists sounded great with Analog, but horribly screechy with digital. The NHT's don't do anything magical, but they also don't do anything offensive. Best bass I've ever had. I suspect with the Xindak & McCormack, it's going to be time for a speaker upgrade at some point.
