Go for the KCT/KPS-28C combo instead of the KPS-25SC. I owned the KPS-25sc and it is a fantastic one box unit with superior CD sound, but the preamp is the KRC-HR, not the KCT which is better. I upgraded to the KCT and found it quieter between instruments and notes, better soundstage and very dynamic, but still smooth. If budget is a concern, you would not be disappointed in the KPS-25SC,just make sure it is one with HDCD chip as some newer ones are without.
