Matty, now that you have had the six packs for a while, how do you think they go with the Europas? I have a Europa system too and am sniffing around for an amp upgrade soon.

abbeydog

Matty, Go for the Ridge Street cables thru out your system. You'll hear a big difference !

Looks great, nice changes- how do you like the sound with the modified cd player? I also noticed you changed the title, no longer creek fan, eh??? heh heh We should get in touch with one another and get together sometime soon, I'd love to hear how far this system has come in a short period of time! And no I still don't have the new front end, half should be here in a week the other have in a week or so after.

System edited: Updated front end, new amp, new pre. Would like some opinions on neutral sounding monitor speaker ideas, under $2000 used. I listen in a somewhat small room, 15 x 17. I was thinking Europa's but then thought while probably better it would not be enough of an upgrade, more of a move sideways. Thoughts??

JB/Jitterbug,

IMO the CDP offers great detail, is not bright, and offers an extended treble. Sound tubey? It is probably on the warm side of neutral. It is a little thin in the bass.

I like it, it matches my other components nicely. However, I am wanting at some point to pick up the Creek CD53 or Arcam FMJ etc. used, to upgrade.

mattybumpkin

i bet that music hall turntable and Creek OBH12 will complete the Creek system:^)

marakanetz

Hi
How is the MMF CD 25? Does it sound tubey or bright? Does it have a lot of detail and deep bass extension?
Thks. I may be considering buying this player
Cheers
JB

Mat,
Try taking the sand out of your stands. The M12s like a light, rigid stand, brings out the base.

Oh, then it's a turntable and tuner that he doesn't have.

viridian

Obviously the Creek 5350SE is an integrated amp.

muzikat

Must be a very quiet system without a power amp.

viridian

Hey what amp are you using? Also, you definitely need to try the Creek T43 tuner!!!!!!!.....WAY WAY great sounding tuner...especially at the money!...nothing beats it for 3x's the money! List was $700, but can get for $400 or so used.

wooterb

I bet it is Creek stuff is an awesome deal
