    • Teres I built it!
A combination of the 245/340 I guess. Custom cocobolo & macassar ebony plinth. Madura sub-base. 2 arm boards, 1 ebony & 1 cocobolo. Lead shot loaded everywhere. Now with the battery option.
    • Origin Live OL1
Rewired, with stainless mod. No TWL mod yet, but it's coming.
    • Denon DL 103R
    Got it from Japan
    • TWL & Paul HiFi Mod & VTF Tweak
$1.32 worth of fishing weigts and some blue tack. Holy sh&^p s&%t Batman, AMAZING. Read the threadis in the Analog forum.
    • Supratek Syrah
Well, I finally got a deal on one. Jarrah wood & copper. No more stepups. Everything everybody says about this pre is true. And finding out that Mick made this one a little special makes it even better!
    • Audio Note Soro SE Phono
    With phono stage.
    • Audio Note AZ3
Level O, I think. A little below the rest of the system, but 94db efficient. And, they do sound VERY good in my room. Probably about to be replaced with ANJ/SPe.
    • Legacy Audio Harmony
In/on wall. Very good sounding speakers in custom built (by me) cherry cabinets. My fronts in the A/V system. Once in a while I hook these up to this rig when I need a little more oomph.
    • Audio Note AN/L
Their best copper litz cable. Very natural sounding.
    • Starsound Audiopoints
Now I have them under everything.
    • Zu Cable Mother
Adam makes great products. Highly recommended.
    • Custom silver Mine
I made them in a litz configuration. I think they work well.
    • Audio Note CD-2
A very good CD rig. I had to kist it, 'cause it gives the wife a chance to play stereo. She is NOT ALLOWED to touch the TT.
    • VPI 16.5
A must have. Galen Catol Audio has the best price and service out there!
    • Pete Riggle Audio VTAF
Nifty VTA adjuster. Uses a large wheel that you can adjust while playing an lp. Solid brass.
    • Z-Squared Copperhead
For those who love the depth and warmth of copper - Z Squared raises the bar! We have copper and plenty of it! -An 18 gauge twisted strand center conductor of 99.999% oxygen free copper -Gas injected polyethylene dialectric insulation -Braided copper mesh shielding -Clear polyethylene outer shield

Hi Joe:
We have (or have had) similar systems. I've moved up the teres line from an all acrylic 135 to a 245 and now have the 255. I also still have my Syrah and have owned the OL Silver (with the TWL mod) and the Denon 103R. I also enjoy using a lot of audiopoints and sistrum stands.

I stronly recommend moving to the lead shot platter for your teres - it made a significant difference to my vinyl enjoyment in every way. I also sold the OL silver and for about the same price bought an Airtech MG1 air-bearing tonearm - this is in a completely different league to anything like the OL Silver. Anyway, just some thoughts. I may explore something like the Audio Note pres and phono stages if you have having such success with them.

Happy listening!

I like the Harmonys. But, I don't like them when using tubes. The sound very good when you have enough power. They do sound very good for an in/on wall.

Joe-

How are the Legacy Harmonys working out? I'm looking for high quality inwall/onwall speakers for a 2 channel/plasma setup. Space considerations are moving me away from my floorstanders. Thanks...

Joe,
.
The newest versions of the Supratek's are miles better than the older versions. Check one out before you get your Audio Note.

Slipknot1, just noticed your post, oops! I've been wanting to go to an all Audio Note system for some time now. I thought that the Supratek was a keeper, and defended it against the lower level AN pres. I was wrong. The new M3 phono I heard is amazing! Tranformer coupling really makes a big difference. So, I'm going to build a set of AN/E speakers first, then decide on building or buying a pre.

Off topic, funny thing I see today; the guy I sold the SyrTese to for $1900 has it for sale for $2500. Interesting!

jphii

Great job! I love your Teres' look! what made you decide to move away from the Supratek? I have one of the Mick hybrids myself, with a Cortese line stage and the newer Chenin phono stage.

System edited: Just a couple of changes. I got rid of the SyrTese, the Wave 8's, and the Belles 150. It's time to move toward an all Audio Note system. First off is building a pair of AN/E speakers.

System edited: Moved from opinions please to Ever Evolving. Right now, not much is going to change. But, I know as I come off of the summer slow season (lack of funds) this could change rapidly! So, here it is.

System edited: Finally got around to addind the Supratek. And, I just did the batery option for the Teres. Love the Syrah. The battery option should be included with the Teres, it's that good!

jphii

Great choice of speakers. Any higher res. pictures of those? :)

System edited: Using the Microgroove now. I really like the sound. The Microgoove and the K&K may be on the way out. I found a great deal on a Supratek Syrah, and I think I'm going to have to buy it. I'll keep ya posted!

Disregard email to Joe's analog rig

I have seen a lot of Teres, but yours is exceptionally done well. Beautiful! Enjoy! and Congrats Joe!

ykk

That is one of the most beautiful TTs I have ever seen!

Joe, I'm sure it sounds as great as it looks. Wish I had the tools & the wood-working skills like you & Tom. When I upgrade to my dream table, think it's going to have to be something made by someone other than me.

Enjoy the music.
