I do believe I have reached what i set out to acheive. My goal was to set up a system that was simple and true to the reproduction music.I am using all homemade stands and bass traps. There is where i will upgrade.
Hi Mark I have made some major changes to my system. Now using a meridian 50624 cd player a wright sound pre amp and a pair of horn shoppe horns.Nordost spm from cd to pre and kimber pbj from pre to power.Cat 5e speaker cable.Even better than before. What have you been up to as far as your system is concerned.Regards Derockster.
Regards Mark.I do believe they would sound great with the Welbourne Labs 7 amp,but i really do love the Carys.I once own a pair of amplifiers which used the Mcintosh circuitry. They are papworth mm 100 out of England. They were great on both the omegas and a pair of totem model ones i had owned.
Mine system is all McIntosh right now and it is amazing. I am completly happy with it but want to get into more tube stuff.
I was at CES last year and heard the Cary stuff and was blown away. I heard the CAD-211 (amps, the SLP2005 (pre), and the 303-300 CD player with there line of speakers.
It still is the most amazing system I have heard. The guy from Cary said the CAD-211 amps helped it out a lot.
I am going back to CES this year and will hear the stuff again. I hope they have the CAD-211's.
I bet the Omega 8's would sound nice with a SET amp like the Welborne Labs 7 watt amps.
thank you very much Mark. They are truly awesome with the omegas.I have been trying for a long time now to reach this point.I have even sold the carys twice and bought them back.
