    • NAD C-541
Simple single tray CD player from one of my fav companies in mid fi range. I want to add a DAC, possibly a Benchmark DAC.
    • Music Hall 5.1 SE
A great upgrade from my old B&O. Has a Goldring cartridge. Did not know how great my albums could sound until I added this to my system two years ago.
    • Audio Note IQ-1
I upgraded the Goldring cartridge that came with my Music Hall. Nice difference, more bass, fuller soundstage.
    • Audio Note M-2 phono
When I replaced my Adcom with this, everything changed. The best single component I have purchased. Bought used and replaced the tubes. Love it!
    • Conrad Johnson SA-250
I bought this used and had Bill Thalmann at Music Technology (Springfield VA) do a mod upgrade. Nice warm sound; lots of power. Quiet, too! I alternate this with my tubed Audio Note PS2.
    • Gallo Acoustics Nucleus Ref
I was shopping for a replacement pair for my 1973 Large Advent speakers and came across these. Love the look (w/o covers) and really love the sound. Expansive soundstage; great mid and high end. Bass is tight, but could be fuller. You have to buy a separate sub-amp to really pump up the bass. Still, the speakers delight.
    • Better Cable Blue Truth
I upgraded to these from Monster cables. Vast improvement (duh!). Have experimented with Signal Cable interconnects.
    • Better Cable Blue Truth
I bought these to complement the interconnects. They are 9' long and have banana plugs.
    • Balanced Power Technology CPC
I had a power strip (bought from a local audio/video store, but wanted something better. I found this item through Audiogon and felt it was a step up, providing the power surge protection and more that I was looking for. Made digital sources sound even better than before.
    • NAD 4300
Bought this used (as with most of my recent acquisitions) on Audiogon or eBay, I forget. Wanted a sensitive, non-digital tuner with a knob I could twist (I am old fashioned and like the feel of this method of tuning). The pre-set buttons are oddly configured and hard to program, guess cause I dont have the manual. Love the sound. I enhanced the signal with a Magnum Dynalab antennae. Sound vastly improved; signal strength doubled plus.
    • IsoRock Gallo Ref Stands
I found that my Gallo Ref speakers sounded great when I sat in listening position, but when I stood up and walked around the listening room part of the soundstage cut out. Read about these on, of all places, Audiogon so I searched and found a set. They are great. Make the speakers look and sound much better.
