I had my Rotel, PS Audio, Aragon, Spica Angelus system since 1991. I bought a cheap Sony DVD/SACD player last year. I bought the 999 for Christmas and realized the rest of my system was wanting. I have bought the new pieces on Audiogon this week. Now some people may be shocked that I bought an entire system wihout auditioning the parts together, but that is how I bought the last one..LOL. I 'm keeping my fingers crossed but how can you argue with putting together what would be an $11,000 system for $5500? I will keep you aprised.
It does take guts to put together a system without really hearing it. I have found that is what one may have to do, as finding good audio stores are fewer and farther between. Sites such as AGO help but nothing is better than a listen for yourself. By the by love the combo of Belles and BAT.
/uestion for the gallery....Any suggestions on reasonably priced interconnects and speaker cable? I have my old Straight Wire Rhapsody's but I will need balanced for the pre-amp amp connection and I was thinking about Nordost Blue Heaven. Any comments or suggestions? Thanks
