This was an experiment in system for me - I have never owned any of these components prior, and they gel amazingly well. The aim was all-tube with Vandersteen 3A signature. The sound is detailed and yet relaxing at the same time. I can listen (and escape) for hours without any fatigue at all. The aim firstly was the Vandersteens. I heard these once and thought they were incredible, had to have some! Luckily for me I now do! The V4's seemed to be a match (revealed from extensive internet research). I was not able to listen prior to purchase - however, I am VERY happy with the sound the combo of the Belles, V4 and Vandersteens make. Added a 2Wq (20 May 11) into the mix - wow! Now for a second to get the real stereo effect..my wife is going to kill me...Yep, 28 May managed to add the second 2Wq, surprisingly with support from my better half. This is an exceptionally 'lush' sound. The mid's sound fuller and the sound is most enjoyable and non-fatiguing - much listening occurring in this house!
