Description

I went with an all-planar speaker setup. Martin Logans across the front and some Maggie SS1s hanging on the wall in the rear. The SVS is great, deep, tight bass with no distortion or bottoming out - even in my large room (15x32x10h). The Chris VH ICs are excellent and simple to build. I have to make some more soon for the center, rear channels. Next steps: room treatment, power conditioning (in the process of making some AC filters), one more SV sub, and most importantly - get a HDTV or front projector. Eventually, I would like to get some Ascents or Odysseys in the front and move the SL3 to the rear. A higher-end 2ch amp will power the fronts, leaving the Multi 3 to the center and rears. Candidates are BAT, Mark Levinson, Pass, et al. Thanks!

Why not try the Toshiba 40 inch widescreen Hi-Def television? They can be had under $1700 if you know where to look, and would make for a much better experience without taking up more than a few inches extra. They are actually thinner, being only around 18" deep.
