Description

This is the theater I have put together. The room is about 30x18. Not the best room, but it works. I am using the 352 to run the 2.8's as right and left and 2 channel. THESE SPEAKERS MAX out the amp! Pinned at 1,400 watts, at fairly loud listening levels, it might be time to swap speakers OR amplifiers! I am using one Veritas 1.8 as a center channel, and another pair of 1.8's as rear speakers, all three powered by the MC-7205 (200x5). This leaves an additional two channels for speakers on the deck. The DVD and LD player, as well as sub, I have no issues with, the same with the MX-132. I love each one of them! Now, the concern/option. I can run three of any of these across the front! My current situation (2.8's and a 1.8 as center) or three Energy APS 5+2 (powered speakers) or my new idea, and a very recent option, a trio of B&W 801III's! I do not think these are any less efficient than the 86db the 2.8's bring, but probably close. Although a VERY large footprint compared to the 2.8's, I think the detail will be greater in 2 channel and theater. Your comments? With the 352, it has been known to shut down at loud levels with the 2.8's, something I have not experienced with ANY other speakers, including the Nautilus 801's as they are somewhere in the 90 or 91db range. What is the best trio of speakers for less than the $4K (preowned) any of these options buy? Thanks and enjoy!
