Description

All hardware (except speakers and headphones) is placed on a wall-mounted sideboard tailor-made of steel and solid walnut. The speakers are placed left and right of the sideboard with no tilt 2.25 meters from each other and 0.30 meters from the wall.

I have started to build this system a year ago with the cd player, the amps and the speakers and have added the turntable this year. Most recently I have added Grado RS-1 headphones driven by the Grado RA-1 amp which I link directly with the source using Jcaudio WOW interconnects.

I do not intend to upgrade my system ever six months. I just want to have a system which produces great sound. However, if I feel that I should add or upgrade a component I will consider it. On thought is to add another Cambridge Audio A-500 power amplifier and bi-amp the speakers.

System edited: I use YBA HP Glass speaker cables and Audiovinyl interconnects (Suhner+HUber cables and Neutric connectors). When I use my headphones I link the Grado RA-1 directly with the source using Jcaudio WOW interconnects.

What interconnects, power and speaker cables do you use? Also, have you tested having the speakers further out from the back wall and with toe-in?
