Recently, I have changed TV's and gotten the new processor. The processor is quite accurate, but a little softer sound than the Acurus it replaced (no surprise there). The DVD player is an absolute gem. I had a hard time taking it out of my 2 channel system where I was giving it the acid test for audio. The sound still does not approach my 2 channel system, but with these speakers, room acoustics, and the TV on the same circuit it would be tough for any system. The analog connection (Red Dawn) btw the DVD and SP-1 is a "left over". I wanted to take advantage of the DV-27's DAC and this was the only decent analog cable I had sitting around. It sounds a little thin, but I'm pretty sure it's the cable. The next step will be changing the Marigo PC's out for the BMIs. I really liked the improvement with them on my 2 channel system. The marigo's trickled down to the Ht system. the speakers will be next, I've already bought the Dynaudio T2.1 center channel and am deciding Contour 3.0 or T2.5's for the fronts. Any input would be appreciated. Overall, the video (which I was never a fan of until now) is spectacular. The color is so true and the progressive video is a large improvement from my old television without progresive capacity. It's pretty great just staying home and watching rental movies or sports on TV. Now if Star Wars and Raiders would just come out on DVD.
