Description

Here is my den 2 channel and home theater rig.

Lots of changes recently, new pictures soon.

With the appropriate room treatments(4 corner bass traps, 2 traps at first reflection), imaging is wall to wall with a very strong center image. Bass is kept in check by using DSP(J. River plug in) for 2 channel listening.

Hi Face, thought I'd let you know I bought a nice pair od HPD 315's on Ebay UK, and custom 150 liter cabs are being made for them in Pennsylvania. My room is plenty large, at 16x30 with a cathedral ceiling. I thought about getting the 385's, but I was afraid 15" might be too much.

Thank you.

Correct, the 385A's are 15". And if it wasn't for the room treatments and passive preamp, they would easily overpower this small room.

That must sound good, and plenty of volume, too. The 385's are the 15" aren't they? I'm actively looking for a pair of 12" MG's, got the itch to go back to Tannoy, had a pair of 12" for 18 years, time to go back, I think.

Enjoy!

You pack a lot of speaker into your listening room. Having a foundation of Mac amps must be nice. Having two good speakers makes the viewing so much nicer than what comes out of the tv alone. You see to have also taken into account room treatment as well. Sometimes the magic is in the details. Happy listening.
