Description

I have been addicted to this hobby for almost 10 years now and this is my most current result. Primarily built for music, watching DVD CONCERTS kicks ass and has been my main drive for striving towards excellence and accuracy. The tv and components have been flush mounted in the front wall giving me great access to the rear panels from the next room for cleaning all of my connections (which I try to do every 4-6 weeks) or swapping out cables for upgrades. I'm feeding it all with a dedicated 20a circuit with a hospital grade outlet and isolated the ground. I put up some carpet and a couple of aborption panels for sound treatment, it was very easy to work with and it softened the room. The black carpet on the front wall around the tv and components provides a great way to get lost in the 73" screen. The room is only 14' from front to back, 10' wide with a ceiling hight of only 7'. My main viewing seat is positioned 10' away from the screen (perfect distance for the screen size). The left and right, front main speakers are seperated by 7' and are also 7' away from the main listening posistion and are toed out approximately 1/2". I have experimented with several configurations and it was not untill I followed the ol' rule of mathematics, (as the main starting point) that I was able to finally be impressed with all of my hard work. The Von Schweikert speakers were set up using the pink noise method and then tweaked from that point. Too many years have gone by where all I could do was tweak and make adjustments rather than just relax and enjoy it. All of those years have finally paid off though because I have now truly mastered the room and got it all sounding as transparent as my wallet could allow. All I do now is enjoy it. I have not felt that somthing was out of wack in about 6 months. I hope you like what I have put together and I look forward to reading any comments and I'm open to any suggestions good or bad. Thanks.
