Room dimensions are approx. 27'L x 14'W x 9'H. The front of the room has a large 7' wide window area that sets back from the rest of the room 3ft. The room is set up to be as close to symmetrical as practically possible. Speakers are out into the room a little over 6', with a little over 3 feet to each sidewall.
Distance between loudspeakers is under 7', distance to listener is just over 9'.
Source components and all amplification components are isolated with low-pass filter suspensions. Cables are kept off the ground with similar suspensions. Signal path capacitors in the IO and Citadel are damped.
Floor is carpet over wood and has been supported in the cellar with several jacks to boost rigidity.
1.2M cable, DIN to RCA. first 12" from DIN are unshielded/unjacketed for lighter weight and increased flexibility. Remainder of cable is 72V DBS.

I have interconnect dampers placed on the inputs and outputs of every interconnect, and also at the spades for the speaker cables. An extrememly subtle improvement that probably isn't worth purchasing until your system is where you want it to be.
I realize this is really a late reply- but why not?
I really like the ROS- it takes a little bit of time to assemble if you purchase it used (or as a kit). It is more flexible than any other rack I can think of, which can be a god send. It also provides an environment for a component that has air flow on every surface (nice if you are using tubed components).
I'm also convinced that it sounds better than any other rack I've tried.
The suspended shelves offer just a hair more refinement, but I wanted to go all out at that point.
System edited: Gone with top of the line cables from AudioQuest. 2 foot long double bi-wire Everest, and 2m Sky. Still using the Cheetah interconnect for the cd player, and don't plan on changing that any time soon.
Nrchy- Nope! I am wise enough to NOT get married for a while-
I will get situated in my new house hopefully within 2 to 4 months, The room there is pretty nice, I have seen through the construction process- I had the walls braced up so they won't store and release low frequency energy, I had door ways set up so they won't be in the way of any acoustical treatments or anything- I removed a window that would have been directly beside one speaker (so the area around the speakers is symmetrical), the floor joists are held tightly with jacks, the floor is dense particle board over plywood (so spikes wont piece the wood).. I'm going all the way! :) I have thought the whole thing out A LOT, and it will finally be happening soon! For those interested in dimensions- the room is 27'L x 14'W x 9'H.
I have sold the ARC LS25MKII and VT100MKII- so right now my system only plays silence.
Very nice system, Will. It's a shame that you are moving to another room. My previous room had tongue and groove wormwood paneling and looked quite a bit like yours. The room itself was 12.5 ft x 18 ft and had excellent acoustics.
In fact, a reviewer/columnist who evaluated my system knowing that I was about to move said, "good luck trying to find another room with these acoustics."
I notice that you have bare wood floors. If you were to, per chance, stay in this room, I'd recommend installing a thick pad and heavy berber-type carpeting to minimize floor reflections.
