Robm321..... are you trying to be a troll? As far as a TT been there done that and the t-shirt is worn out. The Meitner pieces have me closer to the music.
Hey Michael- Its looking better and better every time I see your system! I am going to check out Bill's room and maybe system tomorrow, lets see if all the hype is true :)
Speaking of isolation have you tried the Nimbus by machina dynamica? I know your hot on the SRA but I have heard from more then a few people that the Nimbus is great under the transport.
System edited: Parted with my Switchman 3 and DAC6e and one pair of Jena Labs Pathfinder interconnects and my one Shunyata VX and VXa. Now it is just a two channel DCC2 with the CDSD transport and I upgraded the Jena Labs Pathfinders with bi-amped Dream Dancers. The never ending saga.
No, you are referring to Bill (Lakefrontroad). His system is an all out get out best of the best. With the VR-11 on order that is one very pricey transducer. But for Bill, he can afford anything he wants. LOL!
Were you posted under"Lakefront something.." or do I have you confused with someone else?? I thought I recognized your system before this post...any way, Thanks for sharing your system. Truly a class system and hope you enjoy it to the fullest! :) ken
Thanks. I had moved it to private but I did not know I was going to lose all the post to the thread. I had the Tenor 300's but I decided to go with a pair of 150's and biamp them. Well that has changed too. Believe it or not I preferred the 150 over the 300's and it could very well be because of the tubes. The 150's have the gold tipped tubes where the 300's I had didn't.
Being married and with a young daughter my wife would never let me have a dedicated room. She knows I would never leave the room. LOL!! So no, to compromise there is an HDTV in the room which is NEVER on except for must see sports or HBO Sunday night. The room has 10 dedicated lines run with Virtual Dynamics BX cable and their receptacles on its own panel and meter. I use no filtering because I don't need it (it takes away the dynamics) and where I live there are not many neighbors at all to help pollute the lines (I live on a private 1400 acre lake) plus I am 40 miles away from the city with no stop lights along the way. This room has all insulated cedar walls and a carpeted cement floor.
No Analog. I used too. But no plans thus far as it is a love hate kind of thing.
Exceptional system. Do you have a dedicated room designed for this system that is acoustically treated to bring out the best in the gear? any pics? lastly...Any plans for Analog set up?...Congrats on a nice set up! ;)
