Sorry, I logged off before the comment section. This system has taken me years to get here and I am really liking it now. The recent two big changes were the addition of the Muse DAC with the 13w3 interconnect from the transport. The DAC itself is a superior piece. The new 13w3 cable out of the box was a smidge better than the Illuminati D-60 I was running with my old DAC, but it has continued to open up and shine. The price is right on it too. The next big jump was replacing my B&W 804s I'd had forever with the Dynaudios- My thanks to a lot of advice from my fellow Agoners here. I had seen Dynaudio's line around several times, but never took them seriously enough to give them a listen. I was really missing it. After a long audition of Egglestons, Revels, B&W N802s, 803s, Thiels, and Ariels, and so on, I decided to get a new pair of the Contour 3.3s, but ended up finding a used pr of the 2MkIIs at the store I bought the Muse transport from for a song. That made it a little easier to come up with the house downpayment too. The Dynaudios are a big improvement from the 804s in nearly all respects top to bottom. Really better, almost ethereal on top, and the low end is tight and fast. They are great 2 channel speakers, and it may be overkill, but they will become my rear channel speakers when I merge my HT and 2 channel systems in the next year and get those 3.3s. Overall I couldn't be happier. The Alephs really have great synergy with the Dynaudios- which draw a fair amount of power. Also, I have been very pleased with the Audioprism for a mid priced line conditioner. It works very well here in the middle of Los Angeles. My old Counterpoint PAC-5 and API Power Wedge IVa are on the HT system now as they really couldn't hold a candle to the Audioprism in keeping the background quiet. Also, I forgot to add the vibrapods under the transport. They do bring an audible improvement there, but I couldn't get the same effect under the preamp, and haven't played with them under the DAC yet. I hope this system sounds as good as it does now when I move into the new house.
