Description

I've been quite satisfied with my amp and speakers despite numerous visits to various dealers to hear other things, so I upgraded sources and here I am. Adding vinyl playback has been a transformative event in my life :)

Get yourself a decent DAc shame to waste the speakers on a brutal front end. When you do you will truly hear how good your speakers are .
Your source is the key to a good System.

Technology in the digital world is always changing, and that is frustrating, I know. But I have realized that technology is always changing, for analog as well. I sometimes wonder if analog (records) technology has'nt improved more than digital.
One way to look at it is as an investment in your music collection. If you have a lot of cd's, then the only thing to consider is wheather or not you want to get into sacd, or dvd-a, which is currently rediculas. It is still cost effective to upgrade your digital in the current format. When you spend money on equipment, it is actually forever, in the sence that it will always sound better. There are a lot of used cd players out there that are much less expensive than when they were new, that makes it really more cost effective than waiting for technology.
Also, I would say that if you have a sizeable record collection, a turntable would be a great thing. Same for if you are looking to aquire more music, in any format. The sound quality you can get from a turntable is doller for doller way above digital, and on top of that, records can often be aquired a lot cheaper then cd's, especailly if you have access to a store that sells used records. evan used records sound better than new cd's, provided a certain level of quality in a turntable, which everyone I have ever heard from, including me, is way cheaper than a comparable cd player. Happy upgrading.
