Description

My goal in audio has always been to create a system that is capable of providing me with the most emotional connection to the music. It has taken me approximately 10 years to get there. I wish I would have met Jonathan Halpern and Shindo much sooner... System Strengths: Goosebumps... Close your eyes in front of this system and you find yourself hovering in the clouds with the musical artist perfectly presented before you. Be prepared to be emotionally connected to the music like never before...

Any news in this wonderful system?

Hello.
Very interested in the Valencias.
Not sure if room is big enough for them however.
Can you share the dimensions of your room?
Thanks

Beautiful system! Can you tell me what the Arome CD Transformer does and how it affects the sound?

I figured the absence of an analog source would yield some discussion... This is something I am definitely not opposed to adding in the future. In fact, you may see it implemented in this system in years to come. However, having my entire music collection available at the disposal of my fingertips, combined with suprisingly good quality sound, has made me put the project on hold for the time being.

I am glad to hear that you are enjoying your vintage Altec speakers as well as I am! Combining Altec's vintage driver technology with Shindo's obsession for reproduced musical integrity has been like finding the Holy Grail after a life-long search through the hi-fi jungle.

Marley, beautiful system. And I bet it sounds awesome. I am not familiar with Shindo, but am going to do a little searching. I also have a vintage system with Altecs. I love em. Have you considered adding analog to your system?

Mike,

The Valencias that Shindo manufactured for me utilize the same drivers as the original Altec Valencia speaker system. They are the 806-8a compression driver with 811b horn and the 416-8a low-frequency driver. The crossovers that Ken Shino constructed for them are nothing short of amazing. The size of the hand-wound transformers and capicitors are enormous. I am enjoying owning a vintage classic system that performs far better than most all modern-day systems. I'd be glad to email you some additional photos directly if you would like.

Just a phenomenal system. I'm curious to know whether the valencias are a single driver or multi way system? Do you know which altec drivers are used? Happy listening!
