That is a Marantz 7C and the box on top of the Orion cross-over switched between it (with adjacent CD players) for 2-channel and the Lexicon for home-theater.

I'd like to say that it was a little smoother. The noise floor was slightly higher but not audible at the listening position.

I later switched to using the Lexicon second zone (it's all analog) for 2-channel with sound being about the same but providing remote volume control with an attenuation display in dB.

Congratulations on what must have been quite a labor of love. Dipolar dynamic speakers have always intrigued me, as someone who values the transparency and detailing of panel speakers, and bass which is deep, accurate, and loud when called for.

Is that a Marantz 7C on the floor? If so, have you used it in place of the Lexicon, for two-channel listening, and if so what were your reactions?
