Okay, you laugh, but you HAVE to try it. These cables beat every single speaker cable I tried in my system. (However, I know that a pair of Analysis Plus cables, with their hollow oval design, will be the one pair that can beat'em. They're next on the shopping list!)
Anyway, get a 50 foot Husky indoor-outdoor extension cord, cut it into 4 equal lengths, and strip and terminate each end. One full cable goes red to red, one full cable goes white to white on each speaker. I wrapped mine with teflon tape and nice speaker coverings. For the price, you gotta check it out!
I rebuilt the crossovers to spec, but with better quality caps, coils, and jacks.

Simply the best cables, IMHO.
A good SACD player that plays DVDs as well- a great space saver. The best thing is, the audio and DVD sides have completely different signal paths with their own DACs. Someday, though, I'm going to move to a Mac mini with a good DAC.
