What do you think of the Kansui? What were using before it?

Lots of new pieces so still in break-in mode.

Discovery tonerarm cable direct wire from cartridge clips soldered to VTPH-2 input board. Currently running with no cartridge load resistors at all and it sounds great. VTPH-2 being retubed with Psvane 12AX7 and Siemens NOS 12AU7.

IC's and speaker cables are VH labs silver.

Merlin TSM-MMI's are one week old but sound fabulous on DIY speaker stands.

Cary SLI-80 retubed with Gold Lion 6922, KT-88, NOS Tung-Sol 5U4GB and Tung Sol 6SN7. Had Cary convert SLI-80 to direct coupled triode only and bypassed input selector switch as I only use analog.

Changed coupling caps to Mundorf silver/oil, changed bypass caps to Sonicap, low noise diodes (courtesy of Jim Mcshane) and bypassed electrolytics with orange drops.

Also changed large PS electrolytic caps with four motor run caps in parallel, sitting in blue box next to the amp.

Most recent change is Ortofon A-90 cartridge which sounded great out of the box and is smoothing out each day. Very sensitive to VTA/VTF changes but I have it dialed in for now.

Room is 20x12x7.5, treated with diffusors and wedge foam with a couple of GIK Tri-traps on the way.
