Thanks for the link to that thread. You're right, it is QUITE a journey! Just when I think that I've gone off the audio deep-end, I see the dedication (obsession) of audiophiles like that and it puts in all in perspective:o)
I plan on tube rolling the ZOTL in the near future, and this thread gave me some great ideas on where to start.

There is a ZOTL tube rolling thread started by Hirsh http://www4.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8806&highlight=micro+zotl which takes you through an elaborate journey - although it's quite long, it's well worth the read! I have not yet had a chance to try anything but the stock tubes in my ZOTL yet, but apparently this amp is quite responsive to tube changes. Good luck!

Thanks for the input, Smjason. Any success with specific tubes? I did listen to this amp with a better CD player (Cary 303/200) and its imaging and clarity are startling, especially through cans. I can't justify the cost of a first-rate CDP (like your Nu-Vista) right now since it is only seeing use in the office. Besides, with any better sound, my productivity would probably fall off dramatically!

Really nice set up, I have the same thing,except I use my Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 3D and a pair of wireworld eclipse IC's. It really is a great little system. The berning is a remarkable amp. You can improve the sound a bit if you upgrade the tubes. Good luck!
