Description

Combining 2-channel audio and HT. I know it's not perfect but what is? All compromises are made in favor of 2-channel.

The room is a custom design with local architect and hi-end AV consultant. 100% all surfaces treated with Owens-Corning wall system. Surfaces are stretch cloth covering a combination of reflective, absorbing and diffusive panels. Wall construction is two layers of sheetrock with 1/8" damping layer between the two over conventional 2X4 construction. The AV gear is supplied by three dedicated 20A circuits wired with BX to hospital grade outlets. Pictures forthcoming.

All sources play through the Casanova with the exception of the AA MKII, it gets switched direct to the power amps via the Input Chooser when in use.

I think I know what the next upgrade should be, what do you think it should be...?

Over time, 2-ch is more and more important hence the speaker change (from Dunlavy Cantata). I've spent very little time with the Kharma's but I know I'm going to love them.

Nice rig, and nice room!
Sounds like you did a lot of homework along the way.
Can't wait to see your pictures!

My guess as to your next upgrade is not even worth putting forth, in the light of your thorough and carefully executed strategy so far. You've got a purist 2ch pathway, with top flight video gear working along side of, but not getting in the way of the 2ch. The room must be a contribution most of us can't even begin to imagine, and can only hope to play with to the extent you have. BTW: if you haven't chatted with Albertporter about his room, you two ought to have a lot to talk about - he tweaked his room pretty seriously too.

Ok, since you DID ask, and since audiophiles just can't stop eyeing other kid's toys, here goes a wild guess: speakers?
