Sounds like a great plan! Since I've been so busy lately and haven't had any chance to listen, I'm thinking of chucking it all in and also getting a classic receiver and some old school speakers too. A single driver speaker sounds like a superb idea with a classic receiver. I used to have Omega Grande 8's for several years before the recession and absolutely loved them.
I have some old junk speakers right now. Still fun. I want to build a pair of Fostex based or some single driver speakers this summer. I know it would probably be cheaper to buy some Tektons or something, but I like woodworking and I think it would be fun to do.
