Description

I really like the Classe amps for the price. I didn't really like their surround processor though, so I went to Theta Digital based on reviews and home listening. The unit is very full featured when loaded with optional cards. I have had some strange things happen with it though. Nothing a hard power cycle wouldn't cure. I did several in-store and in-home demos of speakers, and bang for the buck, the Aerials did it for me. I started with KS-3033s for the main speakers, then tried the KS-3035s. Put one of each on the speakers, and noticed a dramatic difference. Thought I was crazy, so I had some impartial listeners tell me if they noticed a difference. In all cases, KS-3035 was picked as providing higher quality sound.

I fully understand your love of the Classe amps. I owned a CA-200 and a CAV-75, back in my HT days. I've moved back to stereo, and it took a Threshold T400 for me to give up my Classe CA-200. I still own a CDP1 CD player and a CP-60 preamp. The 'Classe Sound' is very musical. Looks like a great system. Congrats. John

This is a terrific system. One that I would seriously consider if I had a HT setup. The Classe amps are a bargin compared to other higher end amps. I also agree strongly with your comments about Classe' processor. You're doing much better. Also, I bet those Aerials really sing. Ever looked at their SW-12 subwoofer? It's a knock-out. Michael Kelly knows what he's doing.
