Description

My goal was to assemble a very simplistic PC based system that had some serious bang for the buck. The Hegel while hard to find used and not particularly cheap is three components and two sets of IC's in one. The Maggies and Rel subs make for a truly full range setup for a really reasonable price. I posted before and after graphs for reference the largest step forward was had through optimizing the multi-sub set up. The LF response below about 100Hz could be made a flatter but I prefer the subs turned up just a bit.

    • Hegel H300
    Integrated with built in DAC
    • Magnepan MG-3.5r
    Magnepan 3.5r
    • REL Acoustics Q-108 MKII
Two of these one placed in the front left and another in the right rear. This configuration solved a massive peak and null in the LF response as well adding extension down to 20Hz.
    • Gik 244 and QRD
    (3) 244's and (4) QRD's
    • Measurement Set Up M-Audio and Behringer
M- Audio Mobile Pre and Behringer Mic with REW
    • First Measurement REW
This was my first measurement without subs or treatments.
    • Last measurement REW
Most recent measurement with both subs and treatments
    • DIY Magwire
Bought some magnet wire and cut to length
