Well, I still have the Accuphase. That thing is awesome. But everything else is gone. Even the rack. ;-)

I'm currently running:

Plinius Tautoro + SA Reference
eFicion F300 speakers
Berkeley Audio DAC Series II w/ Alpha USB
TW Acustic Raven AC3 w/ Raven phono
WyWires everywhere
Shunyata Hydra Triton

Second system is a bit in flux still.

Oh. man! I was drooling over this system and got to the last post. I had to sell my VSMs but I'm making do with the TSMs now and loving them.

For ease, convenience and budget I tend to prefer ss w/ my Merlins. You have an impressive array of gear, enjoy!

Cheers,

Scott

Just thought I'd revisit this. I think the only thing I haven't sold here is the rack. LOL. Moving on ....

Did you get the Ars used?

The Holograms are the standard "non-bi-wire". I'm also using some custom jumpers that AZ paired with the speakers and cables. Truly stunning. And now, fully broken in. Love 'em.

For the Fila, I have to say that it's a total package. First, and not least, it's pretty cheap. Second, it's got a pretty stellar midrange. As for bass, honestly, who cares -- the SBAM bolsters and augments that anyway (and stunningly well, too).

I am continuously stunned at how much bass these speakers can generate. Unreal. And those mids make turning them on (and up) a continual treat (and argument with the wife!). Love these speakers.

System edited: Added a new source --> Accuphase DP-85 (on loan) along with a Nordost Valhalla interconnect. Hee hee.

Step into my office Socrates and let's compare notes.

You got the Merlins...nice choice. I have not audition these speakers but just last night reviewed the Michael Fremer article on the updates to cabinet and crossover...they use the same drivers.

What stands out when using the Ars-Sonum Filarmonia SE? Mids and highs.

The Hologram II comes in either Bi-wire or a true mono configuration. Which configuration are you using?

Very nice.
