Description

Simple system for a modest space - computer to Peachtree Grand Integrated X-1 to Wilson Benesch Arc speakers. Only 3 components including the computer, and the only cables required are the USB cable from computer to Peachtree, and speaker cables.

On the PC, using JRiver playing AIFF and FLAC files, as well as Spotify. Peachtree's implemention of USB, using the XMOS chip and asynch USB with galvanic isolation, is so good that no external USB/SPDIF converter is needed.

I am thinking about buying this exact same set-up. I found a demo pair of ARC available and am trying my best to find a balance between ultimate sound and integration. I have considered the Peachtree and the ps audio DAC MK11 (used. I like the Peachtree because it is an all in one system and I can integrate my computer, DVD player, more easily.

The Leben is a perfect match for the ARC's but too expensive for me. I have also considered the Cayin KT-88 tube integrated. I was worried about the overall sound of the Peachtree? Would love to talk more about this. I do love the all ion one box solution for simplicity and WAF.

I have also considered like the emerald physics that probably have a more holographic sound but maybe not as refined? The ARC's are generally out of my price range but have always loved the sound.
