    • Meadowlark Audio Blue Heron 2
BOUGHT DEMO FROM DLR, JUST BROKEN IN. 5 YR WARRANTY IS NOW WORTHLESS, BUT THEY SOUND AWESOME.

6 foot blue cord, used for my Maverick sacd player
    • Hal-o Nickel
Tube Dampers. On the el-34's as well.
    • Home Made Maple Butcherblock 1
I made a maple butcher block 19" by 18" by 3" thick for the bottom shelf, for the amps. Butcher block cost $30 in wood. Have biscuit joiner and rounter table to do this right!

4 outlet unit for all of the non-amp power. Very quiet.
    • Audio Metallurgy GA-0
Interconnects, from sacd player to preamp, and preamp to amp.

The Shanling monoblocks are very good with the BH2's. The 50wpc is more then enough juice for my 12 by 17 living room. I can't really sit in the room with the volume above 50%. Lots of detail even at 20% of max volume. I have only owned the modded Shanling SP80's See the 6moons review.

Chris Johnson's mod 1 from Parts Connexion really makes a big difference, per the review. The 50wpc stays the same, but the tubes are upgraded, as are a number of internal parts.
Thx,
Mario

Blue heron 2 are rated at 4 ohms - as my usher 6371. I'm also considering the shanling monoblocks. Do you feel that the 50w shanlings are OK with your spekaers ?

I am VERY happy withthe Blue Heron 2's. They are a bargain right now, can be had for $4500. They are detailed, rich, time and phase coherent, and beautiful to look at.
Best for my money!

are you happy with your blue heron 2's?
I am thinking about getting a pair.

I think you'll like that Cayin TA-30. I've had one for about 6 months and am blown away by its price:value ratio. I'm using the Meadowlark Shearwater Hot Rod speakers with a tube cd player. The TA-30 has a wonderful mid-range and surprisingly good bass depth. It spends much more time in my system than my Bryston gear.

System edited: OK, got some Signal Cable Analog interconnect with Eichelman ends, Signal Cable power cords, Signal Cable digital interconnect, a Cayin TA30 tube amp with Busy Bee mods, focus control, etc, Hubbel cryo outlet, Aurul Thrills yellow box, Rotel 955 carosel cd player (finace demanded a carosel) due in the mail tomorrow from Audiogon dealer, maybe bi-amp with Rotel RA-985BX . Coming along, sound is improving.
