I also use a Sigma Genesis 2000 MC Monster Cable phono cartridge. However, I lost the spec sheet on it. I just got a Lehmann Black Cube phono preamp. What is the optimal loading strategy for this cartridge?

I have a friend with an older pair of Legacy Focus speakers. They sound awesome. Have you ever compared the two?
I know you have a great sounding system. I've never heard the Ayre amps, but my friend uses a Krell KSA-250.

By the way, have you ever listened to the Revel Salons and compared them with your speakers? I'd be glad to hear from you.

Timo- No, I don't have a banana plug,since it's not connected into the center post like a banana.

The surface is polished to remove the irregular edges so that it fits smoothly into the binding post hole(most will take 10-12 gauge wire)and tighten just like a spade.

The iregular suface contact you point out, also happens when you insert a bare wire into a b-plug or spade, and you have an extra layer of plated metal between the wire and the binding post.

The best connecter I've seen other than bare wire, is the Neutrik Speakon.
