I listen CD and FM radio. My objective is to get a sound from CDs as close to a good musical vinyl system as possible. I have 3 elusive goals. (1) I want to have a very low noise background (black background), and (2) seeking the best possible reproduction of low-level musical information and finally (3)"immediacy" ( the feeling that something is present or alive).

I listen to alot of radio so I do have my tuner scheduled for an upgrade to the Magnum Dynalab MD 102 triode. I'd like advice for a good interconnect for use on the tuner.

Eventually I'd like to upgrade the speakers - I'm thinking of Avantguard Duos.

Recently upgraded the preamp from a Joule Electra LA-100 to the Audio Tekne, which I have not yet hooked up.

Thanks to Steve at HiFi Farm for getting me started with a good core system 7 years ago, and who continues to provide tons of honest advise as well as great products - including the Audio Tekne. Thanks to AudiogoN members who have helped a newbie out with sometimes dumb questions and been a source of great used stuff.
