Description

  • I spent about 8 months building this basement listening room.
I did 95% of the work apart from securing the steel stud framing to the floor and ceiling, and the final electrical connection to the panel after my electrician inspected my work.

The walls are filled with rockwool insulation with drywall on both sides as well as paneling stapled and glued to both sides.

A dedicated 20 amp circuit for the audio gear is installed, plus septate circuits for lighting and non critical outlets.

The ceiling is stuffed with R30 insulation and covered with the CeilingMax system, which is screwed to the joists, not suspended. 4 can smart lights installed above.

Finally, acoustical boots are located at the end of the supply and return air ducts to to remove as much wind and blower noise as possible.

It's a very quiet room.

Very nice system - I like that you have paid attention to the room treatments, their placement and symmetry.

If the sound does not satisfy you, then you are not done yet...LOL

My friends keep telling me, "It is all in your mind."
I hope this is not a wireless system.
